Terms of Service

1. The service

KireiFilter provides a spam and abuse detection API. You submit content (IP addresses, email addresses, text bodies, and related metadata) and the API returns a spam probability score and detection details. Results are advisory — they are inputs to your own decision-making and not a guarantee of accuracy.

2. Your account

You must register with a valid email address. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately. You may not share API keys or credentials with others or use the Service on behalf of a third party without their knowledge.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Attempt to circumvent quota limits or access controls
• Submit data that you do not have the right to process
• Use the Service to process data belonging to third parties in violation of applicable privacy laws
• Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or probe the API for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation
• Use the Service in any application where incorrect spam classification could cause significant harm
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the API without our written agreement

4. Quota and fair use

Each account is subject to request quotas as described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that exceed their quota or that cause disproportionate load on the infrastructure. If you need a higher quota, contact us.

5. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level. The Service is provided "as is". We may perform maintenance at any time, which may result in temporary unavailability. We will endeavour to minimise disruption.

6. Intellectual property

The KireiFilter software, algorithms, website, and brand are our exclusive property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to access the API for your own use.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the API. By submitting data you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service and, in aggregate and anonymised form, to improve detection accuracy.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that spam detection results will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you breach these Terms or if we believe continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and close your account.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction.
